If i tell you football in Argentina is more than a sport, it’s a way of life. The Argentina national team, La Albiceleste (The White and Sky Blue) is loved by millions of Argentines and football fans around the world. As is well known, the Argentina national team was established in the early 1900s. also british immigrants brought football to Argentina in the late 1800s, and it quickly became the most popular sport there and the first game was played against Uruguay in 1901. Football was introduced to Brazil in 1894 by Scottish immigrant Thomas Donohoe it was Charles Miller, a Brazilian of British descent, who truly popularized the sport and the first recorded match took place that same year near his workplace in Bangu. After studying in England and learning the game there, he returned to Sao Paulo with football equipment and a rulebook.
